Abstract
Aim: To investigate the effect of bleeding disorder on oral condition in Iraqi patients. Patient and methods: 153 patients were included in this study attending dental unit in Iraqi center of hematology. They were diagnosed and treated for ordinary oral diseases like dental caries and periodontal diseases mainly. While treatment vary from only diagnosis and checkup to more complicated surgical extraction. The patients data include sex, blood group, cheife complain and type of treatment. Results: The main chief complain was dental caries and less periodontal diseases while main treatment management was only checkup. The blood group O was the most common among patients. There was no difference between the 2 main groups of patient depending on type of treatment of blood disorder. Conclusion: The dental management of patients with bleeding disorders at the National Center of Hematology in Iraq necessitates a specialized, cautious, and highly coordinated approach. Based on the study results, the following conclusions can be drawn. Necessity of Multidisciplinary Care: Successful outcomes are heavily dependent on ``complete cooperation'' between medical hematology staff and dental professionals to synchronize systemic treatments, such as factor replacement or Hem Libra, with dental procedures.
